Building a custom report

Video walkthrough for this article has not been recorded yet — the written steps above are the full guide in the meantime.

The Reports tab is one report builder, not a pile of fixed templates — it works the same way whether you're pulling one project or your whole portfolio.

Steps

  1. Pick a register — Jig has 41 of them, grouped under Schedule, Cost, Documents, Field, Quality, Safety, Claims, and Company.
  2. Set your scope: this project, or every project you have access to.
  3. Narrow it with a date range and, if you want, field filters (contains, greater-than, is empty, and so on).
  4. Choose your columns, sort order, and an optional group-by.
  5. Preview shows up to 100 rows with subtotals per group. When it looks right, export to CSV or PDF — PDF automatically switches to landscape once you're past six columns.
  6. If you'll want this exact report again, save it by name. Saved reports belong to your organization, not just you, so a teammate can reopen one you built.

Reports respect the same access rules as everywhere else in Jig — a trade partner only ever sees their own company's rows, and a field seat never sees money fields or money-bearing registers, even inside a report they build themselves.
