Filing your daily log

Video walkthrough for this article has not been recorded yet — the written steps above are the full guide in the meantime.

Daily logs are the field seat's home base — weather, crew, equipment, notes, and photos, one entry per day per project.

Steps

  1. Open Daily logs and start a new entry.
  2. Weather fills in automatically from your project's location and today's date — if it's wrong for where you actually are, you can override it, and Jig keeps both the original and your correction on record.
  3. Log your crew and equipment on site.
  4. Use the notes field for anything that needs a written record — issues, delays, safety concerns.
  5. Attach photos directly to the entry.
  6. Working offline is fine — entries queue up and sync once you're back online, and Jig checks against what's already on the server before syncing so nothing you or a teammate already saved gets overwritten or duplicated.
