Schedule & Takt
Switching your schedule to takt mode
Video walkthrough for this article has not been recorded yet — the written steps above are the full guide in the meantime.
Jig doesn't have a separate takt-planning module — takt is a mode on your existing Schedule tab. A project left in its default CPM mode works like an ordinary critical-path schedule. Switching a project to takt mode adds zones, a repeating trade sequence with each trade's crew capacity, a calculated takt time per zone, and a flow-line chart as your main view.
Two things worth knowing before you switch:
- Critical-path math keeps running underneath even in takt mode — you don't lose float or critical-path tracking by switching.
- Switching is one-way. Jig walks your existing activities into zones based on your work breakdown and asks you to confirm first, but there's no toggling back and forth on the same project.
