What your subcontractors can see and do

Video walkthrough for this article has not been recorded yet — the written steps above are the full guide in the meantime.

If you've been invited to a Jig project as a subcontractor, testing lab, commissioning agent, or consultant, you're set up as a scoped collaborator — free, and tied to your own company's rows on the job, not the whole project.

What you can see: Schedule, RFIs, Submittals, Daily logs, Punch list, Drawings, and Files — but only the rows that belong to your own company. You can also see your own pay applications, lien waivers, and payroll on this job — just not anyone else's.

What you can't see: Budget, Reports, or Equipment, and you don't see other companies' rows even on the screens you do have access to.

One thing to know: the general contractor controls your access. If they remove you from the project, it disappears from your list — there's nothing to reconnect on your end, it's entirely on their side.
